From a single car-hire desk in Mombasa to East Africa's most trusted touring company — nearly seven decades of heritage, expertise and passion for the journey.
Kuldip's Touring Company began in 1957 as a modest car-hire operation on the island of Mombasa. Six years later, it became the very first licensed tour operator on the island — a distinction that carries weight not because of the date on a certificate, but because of the knowledge, relationships and reputation that nearly seven decades of unbroken operation produce.
Today the company has grown into a group of three related businesses spanning tours, transfers, excursions, incoming travel, and hospitality. We operate an extensive fleet of luxury coaches, safari minibuses, and private vehicles. We run daily sightseeing excursions and multi-day air and road safaris from every resort along the coast. And through our incoming tours division, we handle a significant share of the total visitor flow into Mombasa — working as ground partners for some of the biggest names in international travel.
What has not changed is the approach: every journey is personal, every detail matters, and the guest's experience comes before everything else. That is what a family-run business protects — not just a brand, but a standard.
From a single vehicle to a group of three companies — the story in key dates.
Kuldip's Touring Company opens as a car-hire operator on the island of Mombasa — a single desk, a handful of vehicles, and a belief that the coast deserved better transport.
The year of Kenya's independence. The company obtains its tour-operating licence — the first ever issued on Mombasa Island — and begins running scheduled sightseeing excursions and safaris from the coast.
The fleet expands to include luxury coaches and a range of safari vehicles. The incoming tours division launches, establishing partnerships with major international tour operators and handling a growing share of Mombasa's visitor arrivals.
The group's wholly owned subsidiary, Indiana Beach Apartments, completes construction of the Indiana Beach Hotel — extending the company's reach into hospitality and accommodation on the South Coast.
Three related companies. An extensive fleet. Daily excursions and multi-day safaris across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda. Ground handling for international airlines and tour operators. And the same family commitment to personal service that started it all.
Everything you need for a seamless East African journey, managed by one team that knows the coast and the bush intimately.
Multi-day road and air safaris across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda — from two-day Tsavo breaks to two-week grand circuits. Every itinerary is built around you: your dates, your pace, your interests.

Nearly seven decades on the ground. We know the roads, the lodges, the guides, the tides, and the seasons — because we live here.
Well-maintained vehicles, vetted partners, and consistent standards — no shortcuts, no compromises, no surprises.
A family business, still family-led. The pride that comes from three generations of doing this work is in every detail.
